Animat’s rubber flooring provides the cows with a comfortable surface to walk on in their travel lanes, at their feed bunks, and anywhere they move. While they're on our rotary, they stand on the rubber mats, which offers a soft, supportive surface for them to stand on.
Full Circle Dairy is a fifth-generation family dairy farm that has grown to a large-scale operation with 3,600 Holstein cows. The dairy prides itself on prioritizing cow care and comfort, a tradition rooted in the family’s Swiss heritage of dairy farming. Today, Full Circle Dairy strives to maintain the highest standards of animal welfare and efficiency in its operations, while continuing its legacy of producing quality milk.
With a herd of 3,600 cows milked three times a day, the heavy foot traffic in key areas like the feed bunks and rotary parlor took a toll on the farm’s concrete flooring. Full Circle Dairy began to experience significant wear on their concrete, which not only required constant maintenance, but also posed a safety risk to both cows and employees. Slips and falls were a growing concern, and it was clear that a more durable and cow-friendly flooring solution was needed.
We’ve seen a reduction in cow injuries and slip-downs because cows can get better traction on this rolled rubber with the deep grooves that it has.
We selected Animat’s DairyGrip product because of the deep grooves it has, which provides excellent traction for our cows. It's so durable that once we put it down, we know it will stay in place.
Full Circle Dairy installed Animat’s DairyGrip Ultimate Grooved Rolled Rubber Flooring, which is specifically designed with deep grooves for superior traction. DairyGrip was the perfect solution to address the challenges faced in the feed bunks. It provided the ideal balance of strength and traction, preventing slips and falls while encouraging cows to stand at the feed bunk for longer periods, which improved cow flow and supported better feeding habits.
In the milking parlor, they selected Animat’s Pebble Top mats for their cushioned surface which improves cow comfort and reduces injuries.
Both of Animat’s rubber flooring solutions were installed in high-traffic areas where cows spend significant time.
