La pr\u00e9sente \u00e9tude a \u00e9t\u00e9 men\u00e9e sur 18 vaches allaitantes de race crois\u00e9e, r\u00e9parties en deux groupes homog\u00e8nes de mani\u00e8re al\u00e9atoire. Les vaches du groupe trait\u00e9 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 gard\u00e9es dans une \u00e9table \u00e9quip\u00e9e d'un rev\u00eatement de sol en caoutchouc, tandis que celles du groupe t\u00e9moin ont \u00e9t\u00e9 gard\u00e9es sur un sol en b\u00e9ton. L'objectif \u00e9tait d'\u00e9tudier l'effet du rev\u00eatement de sol en caoutchouc sur l'hygi\u00e8ne, la locomotion et les blessures au jarret et au genou. La propret\u00e9, la locomotion et l'\u00e9valuation des blessures au jarret et au genou ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9valu\u00e9es selon des m\u00e9thodes standard \u00e0 intervalles de deux semaines par deux chercheurs, qui ont attribu\u00e9 des notes de 1 \u00e0 4. Les r\u00e9sultats ont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que la note globale de locomotion sur le tapis en caoutchouc (1,33 \u00b1 0,07) \u00e9tait significativement inf\u00e9rieure (p < 0,01) \u00e0 celle des vaches sur sol en b\u00e9ton (1,70 \u00b1 0,10). La note moyenne globale d'hygi\u00e8ne pour les vaches \u00e9lev\u00e9es sur des tapis en caoutchouc \u00e9tait de 1,66 \u00b1 0,09 et de 2,00 \u00b1 0,08 pour les vaches \u00e9lev\u00e9es sur un sol en b\u00e9ton, tandis que la note globale des blessures aux jarrets et aux genoux chez les vaches \u00e9lev\u00e9es sur des tapis en caoutchouc et sur un sol en b\u00e9ton \u00e9tait respectivement de 1,21 \u00b1 0,04 et 1,90 \u00b1 0,05. Les scores d'hygi\u00e8ne et de blessures au jarret et au genou entre les deux groupes \u00e9taient \u00e9galement significatifs (p < 0,01). Les r\u00e9sultats exp\u00e9rimentaux sugg\u00e8rent que les tapis en caoutchouc peuvent r\u00e9duire les probl\u00e8mes de boiterie. L'utilisation de tapis en caoutchouc permet de r\u00e9duire les risques de blessures au jarret et au genou et d'am\u00e9liorer le bien-\u00eatre des vaches crois\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

The present study was conducted on 18 lactating crossbred cows by dividing them into two homogeneous groups randomly. The cows of treatment group were kept in shed having rubber mat flooring, whereas the cows of control were kept on concrete floor. The objective was to study the effect of rubber mat flooring on hygiene, locomotion, hock and knee injury scoring. Cleanliness, locomotion and hock and knee injury scoring were done by standard methods at fortnight interval by two researchers by assigning 1-4 scores. Result revealed that overall locomotion score on rubber mat (1.33\u00b10.07) was significantly lower (p<0.01) than cows on concrete floor (1.70\u00b10.10). Mean overall hygiene score for the cow kept in rubber mat was 1.66\u00b10.09 and 2.00\u00b10.08 in cows kept on concrete floor, whereas the overall hock and knee injury score in cows on rubber mat and concrete floor was 1.21\u00b10.04 and 1.90\u00b10.05, respectively. The hygiene scoring and hock and knee injury scoring between both groups was also significant (p<0.01). Experimental findings suggested that rubber mat may reduce lameness problem.
